Married life can be a real pain in the butt. But don’t take my word for it. Just ask the 62-year-old Florida woman who was shot in her butt by her newlywed husband. It’s a perfect example of why everyone should get background verification on any and all prospective love interests in their life.
76-year-old Donald Royce and his wife had an argument—as all couples do. However, this argument ended with Donald shooting his wife in the caboose. According to police, Royce was unhappy with the lack of lovin’ he was getting from his new bride and decided to do something about it.
Royce, of course, says the shooting was an accident. He claims he only meant to fire at the mattress. Obviously, his marksman skills aren’t much better than his loving-husband ones.

Donald Royce, 76, arrested for shooting his wife
His wife survived the shooting—sustaining a wound in her hip as well as her rear end. Royce remains in jail on $100,000 bond. Obviously, this is going to delay their consummating the marriage a little longer….
Use Hero Searches for background verification
It’s no secret that the world is a dangerous place. Nor is it news that these are volatile times. One need only turn on the television or access online news to see just how tenuous human relations are right now. That’s why you should do a thorough background check of the man in your life ASAP.
While you probably think you know that person you’re about to marry, you really don’t. Nobody can know what’s in the heart and mind of any individual outside of themselves. But they can learn what crimes they’ve committed by getting background verification.
So, before you go any further with your new boyfriend or husband, do a criminal history check and make sure they don’t have any police records or court records. It may just save your butt.
